At Wind Dove Acres, we offer two ways to make your perfect bouquet.

By the Stem:

By the Stem is the perfect option for creating a bouquet of any size, big or small! All flowers are priced at $1 per stem.

Flower Cup:

Our Flower Cups are great for those wanting to create a slightly larger arrangement and for ease of transporting your blooms home! Each cup holds approximately 15-20 stems depending on the varieties you choose. Flower Cups are available as self-serve during our open hours, and water will be available for making sure your blooms stay hydrated on their ride home. Flower Cups are priced at $15 per cup.

Some helpful tips to consider to ensure the best quality bouquet:

  • While picking flowers is an activity that can be enjoyed at any time during the day, mornings and evenings are the most ideal due to the cooler temperatures that will help minimize the wilt and stress of your blooms

  • To maximize the vase life of your sunflowers, harvest them when the petals are at a 90 degree angle to its center

  • The best way to tell if a zinnia is ready to be harvested is to perform a "Wiggle Test".  Before cutting, hold the flower's stem about 6 inches from the bloom and give it a slight wiggle.  If the stem is floppy then it still needs some more time to grow, but if the stem is firm then it is ready for your bouquet!

  • Farm fresh flowers are beautiful and are sure to brighten up any room! To maximize the vase life of your flowers be sure to regularly change their water and every few days trim the bottom of the stems.
